Austin Skate Academy x David Phillips Foundation

We are excited to announce we have partnered with a local non-profit, David Phillips Foundation, to implement free skate programs in Title-One schools in the Austin area.

The David Phillips Foundation supports and uplifts children and their families through recreation programs that allow them to heal, grow, and play.

The David Phillips Foundation improves the lives of children and their families, strengthens neighborhood ties, and builds community, through recreation, sports, and opportunities to “play.” Further, DPF works to support and uplift children and families who have lost a parent, by providing resources, and making connections with additional support providers in their communities. We started our first free program this fall at Blazier Intermediete school in Austin. Through the help of No-Comply Skateshop, and the David Phillips Foundation, we we’re able to donate a free 6 week skate program to a group of students at Blazier. The students received free No-Comply skateboards, and free helmets.

The program focused on basic skateboarding skills as all of the students had never ridden a skateboard. Spring 2024, we plan to continue two more programs at Blazier, as well as additional programs at other schools in the Austin Area.
